Second attempt at this restaurant. We were seated in a timely manner. The servers and hosts were all very nice. The food was decent once again.. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with baked beans, my hubby had the Reuben with fries, and my kids had the mini cheeseburgers and fresh fruit! I love that they have a fresh fruit option for kids! My only and biggest complaint about this place is they are soooooooo slow! I read back and remember the service being slow when I tried the first time. Today, I timed it and it was 27 minutes between the time when we got our drinks and when we even ordered food.. This is an issue for me with two small children who get restless.. My two year old had colored his entire placemat front and back before we even ordered.. We again flagged down the waitress for drink refills.. I would come here again without kids and without a schedule to keep.. However I can't give a higher rating because I think the service needs some major help. Sorry Grizzlys you've done it to me 2/2 times!

Wonderful wood fired mess hall. Chicken beef pork. Tried a chicken cucumber crunch for lunch. Way great.

Saturday 1:30 PM: Servers were fantastic but the chefs had an off day? Party of 6. Ribs and the wood fired poultry were good, so I was told. Had the house sirloin ordered medium- a tiny puck, arrived 1/4 inch thick, grilled beyond well done. Horrid, tough piece of leather. Chicken and wild rice soup was waaay too salty to eat, one in our party sampled mine and changed her order from the soup bowl to chicken salad. Had reservations but still had to wait while a table was found, only to find several large tables open upon seating and were able to move from our chilly, breezy open table in the middle of the floor to a quieter corner booth. We had dined here a year or so ago but couldn't recall why we didn't return. Yeah.

The food was good-average. I had the Applewood-bacon Fajita Salad. Your meal is served with homemade warm bread which is tasty. Service was friendly and attentive.

First time customer party of 2 less than impressed to say the least. Both ordered a burger (Kodiak and Avocado) with home style Mac & Cheese. Mac & Cheese was delicious, but burger fell flat on being dry, burnt, and bun was beyond so toasted it was a rock. For sitting in the bar area you would think the manager would know how to run the cable system for sports. Instead of having the Timberwolves and the other big NBA ESPN game of the night on, along with big NHL games. The bar had on a college football game from the week before and a NFL rewind game. It was a Wednesday night mind you. When asked to change channel, manager couldn't figure it out. Might as well drive the extra 50 feet to Texas Roadhouse!

I met three friends for dinner. Our server was polite and attentive but probably a little too busy. Service felt slow. My Moscow Mule was good, so good that a friend ordered one after tasting mine. We also shared the Grizzly skins. They were fantastic - crisp with just the right amount of toppings. My french onion soup had a slice of cheese on top that was only partially melted. The croutons had good crunch and flavor. The soup itself was a little too sweet. French onion soup seems hard to do well, it is often too salty or too sweet. This one was a disappointment. My fish tacos with blackened tilapia were not good. They had a fishy taste. They were made with cold flour tortillas. There was too much tarter sauce for my liking and very little pico de gallo, cabbage and onion. The lettuce was spring mix-type lettuce leaves just laying on top of the taco. It didn't fit. I ate one of the three tacos, then ate just the fish out of one (spicy, good), and didn't eat the last one. My friend who also ordered the fish tacos did not finish hers either. Nor did my friend who ordered a burger. Another friend ordered a steak and said it was great. I would not be in a hurry to go back.

Friendly staff that was prompt to all our needs. Food was good with no complaints. Grizzlys is a little more expensive so expect to spend about $50 for two people with one round of drinks (including tip). It is a chain so you know what your going to get expect for the fact that they had a nice selection of local craft beers. By nice I mean 3-5.

The food was alright. We ordered the wild rice stuffed mushrooms which I thought had way too much cheese for my liking. And I ordered the 1/4 wood grilled chicken with a side of cheesy hashbrowns. The chicken was delicious and tender! Melt in your mouth. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye (medium rare) with a side of sweet potato, and when he cut it open it looked like it was just seared and absolutely raw on the inside. Not too impressed. But our waiter took it back and fixed it for us. Our overall experience was alright, service was good.

We arrived at the restaurant later in the evening on a weeknight. It was not busy, but we had to wait quite a while to be seated. The food was greasy and cold. I will never go back!!

While up in MN I went to Grizzly's Wood-Fired Grill on the recommendation of the lady who was working the front desk of the hotel. The atmosphere was very nice when walking in and you could see one of the wood fire grills in action which was very cool. The other great thing about this place is all the ladies working here were very pretty (call me superficial I don't care). I ordered a steak and my coworker ordered the salmon. We split the smoked chicken Quesada appetizer. The Quesada was very good and the chicken was extremely moist. I ordered my steak rare however it came out medium. That sucked and I could have sent it back I am sure however I was hungry. I had a side of chili with my steak and was quite disappointed with it. Even with the steak overcooked it was surprisingly juicy which was very nice. My coworker did not like the salmon very much. However he had a side of cheese fries with it and he said that they were some of the best cheese fries he has had. The service was pretty good, nothing great but nothing to write home about. I will give this place solid 3/5 stars. I would most likely come back but it did not wow me at all.

Best ribeye!!! Melts in your mouth, cooked to perfection. Love the staff and atmosphere.

We are giving 4 stars. For the uniqueness of the style of display first. It reminds someone on a heavy wood log cabin. We passed their impressive signature chicken rotisserie what made my mind up what I wanted to eat. The "Grizzly" needs time and extra cash to be enjoyed. The service was good. Overall my family is eating in the restaurant again.

A-OK. Tonight's visit was pretty tasty. Had the pulled pork sandwich with fried pickles - would definitely try that again. I tried the cheesy hashbrowns for the first time, wouldn't say I'd go there again. The outside was fairly burnt, the inside tasted like some sort of canned cream soup was an ingredient. You aren't my mom, Grizzly's, you can't get away with cream of mushroom soup! Service was great tonight. In the past there've been times when waitstaff was less than attentive, as though they were hanging with their buddies and we were not welcome.

If you are tired of TGI Fridays, Applebee's, Chili's, etc... but still want a casual family friendly restaurant/bar Grizzly's maybe the perfect place for you. They have traded the zany knickknacks on the walls for an up north cabin feel. And the food is a step above what you would expect as many of their entrees are cooked over an open fire. The service is consistently good and I recommend anything on the menu that has their rotisserie chicken in/on it which is always tender, flavorful, and juicy. I come here often with large groups when you need a place that satisfies everyone as the food is pretty standard but made with a little more creativity and care than those other chains.

Went here on a Friday night. It was packed. Ordered the Texas egg rolls and they were burnt and clearly in the fryer way too long. My rotisserie chicken sandwich was ok. Nothing special. I had higher expectations for this place.
